Point B is looking for an experience Business Applications Manager to join our internal Information Technology team. This person will be responsible for setting and managing the business applications strategy at Point B. Responsibilities also include managing a small team of system and business analysts in a matrixed organization and providing occasional hands-on support for daily business application support. This role is responsible for the firm’s business applications architecture and roadmap and aligning it to Point B’s business strategy. This role is also responsible for the enhancement, maintenance and deployment of systems supporting core internal business functions (professional services automation, CRM, recruiting, resource management, talent/performance management and HR). The Business Applications Manager will work with various internal business stakeholders to identify scope, prioritize and implement additional business applications that meet the stakeholder’s needs and align with Point B’s overall business applications architecture. Business Applications Architecture Proactively communicate with various Point B business area stakeholders to understand short and long-term needs and concerns. Align business area stakeholder needs with long-term business applications architecture and roadmap. Annually review and manage long-term business applications architecture and roadmap. Provide forward-looking vision when designing solutions to meet current and future flexibility, scalability, exception handling, and reporting and integration requirements. Provide business insight via enterprise reporting and business intelligence solutions Business Applications Team Management Coordinate day-to-day business application operations. Coordinate team efforts to ensure that time is being spent on correctly prioritized tasks. Conduct weekly team meetings. Gather status updates on all projects and maintenance tasks and set future task priority and assignments. Provide monthly summary reports/dashboard status to the CIO. Elevate critical issues in a timely manner for resource allocation and decision support. Produce and manage to business applications forecast Manage and develop business applications staff Business Solutions Development and Support Lead, manage and support business application projects as required Responsible for project management, analyzing and documenting requirements, developing system architecture, selecting appropriate technologies, implementing business solutions and integrating them to existing systems. Provide a cross-functional perspective during business requirements and solution design review for operational inefficiencies, conflicting business practices and integration issues and suggest alternative solutions. Manage and guide functional, technical, user and stress testing of business applications using appropriate methodologies and tools. Provide hands-on technical support, including, but not limited to, SQL development, web application maintenance and documentation.
