Project leadership firm promotes veteran business consultant to lead local practice

PORTLAND, Ore.—Point B Solutions Group, LLP, a professional services firm specializing in project leadership, has announced the promotion of Steve Brook to Practice Director for its Portland practice. In his new role, he will provide leadership in the areas of service delivery, associate development and strategic planning and execution. Brook is replacing Mike Pongon--a Managing Director of the firm--who served as the practice leader for the past five years.

"Steve has been a tremendous asset to our firm since he joined us in 2004,” said Pongon. “He is a trusted advisor and exceptional project leader for our clients. Steve has the talent and capability to continue the strong growth we have experienced and will help to deliver on our firm’s strategies in Portland, including the continued development of a great leadership team."

Brook most recently served as a project leader for retail mergers and acquisition support. Since joining the firm three years ago he has worked with local clients in a variety of industries including retail, transportation, manufacturing, and financial services. Additionally, his professional track record includes more than 20 years of experience leading enterprise programs and projects. Prior to joining Point B, Brook worked with such well-known Northwest-based companies as US Bank, Emerald Solutions, and The Nautilus Group.

Brook received a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Keller Graduate School of Management and has served on the board of directors for the Project Management Institute.

Managing Director Mike Pongon has transitioned his Practice Director responsibilities to Brook, which will enable Pongon to provide executive support for the launch of Point B’s practice in Southern California.
