Allissa Latham Named a 2024 Rising Star of the Profession by Consulting Magazine
< AwardsSomething incredible happens when a passionate, determined individual uses their unique perspective and voice for positive change. Allissa Latham goes beyond showing up and speaking out, excelling at making space for representative voices, and finding impactful solutions for Point B’s customers.
Allissa was named a 2024 Rising Star of the Profession in Health and Well-Being by Consulting Magazine for her tireless pursuit of excellence in outcomes-oriented solutions, technology expertise, and her commitment to making healthcare more equitable and accessible for all.
Her professional journey started on the pre-medical track, but her deep passion for healthcare started long before college. Allissa was a pre-teen when she was diagnosed with Sjögren's, an autoimmune disease often diagnosed in middle-aged Caucasian women. As a young African-American woman, she has often felt like “one of one.” But she has intentionally made space to tackle her challenges and empower others along the way.
Allissa has been a consistent leader across Point B. She previously led the New England area associates through culture and diversity-focused initiatives and helped her team members forge deeper local connections. She co-founded the Black Employee Network in 2020, an employee-led business resource group dedicated to the success and empowerment of Black employees across the company and has played a critical role in ensuring equality and diversity in Point B’s recruiting process.
Outside of Point B, Allissa serves on the Sjögren's Foundation board and has her own business as a pageant consultant for state and national contestants in the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants. In 2018, she was crowned Miss Massachusetts USA and was a semi-finalist in the National Miss USA competition.
Allissa was recognized as a 2024 Rising Star in April 2024 at a joyous awards ceremony in Chicago.
