We are thrilled to announce that Lauren Wilkins, Point B Managing Consultant based in Portland, Oregon, has been named a 2023 Top Consultant Honoree in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion by Consulting Magazine.
Lauren has been with Point B for nearly five years and has had a tremendous impact on our organization. During her tenure, she has served multiple customers delivering world-class work in the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) space. She’s partnered with organizations to get to the root of deep questions about diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEI+J), as well as how the intersections of diversity and privilege impact both individuals and organizations alike.
In addition to her consulting work, she was also named Point B’s first CEO Action for Racial Equity fellow from 2020-2022, where her work focused on combatting the “otherness” that Black people face in America, and she described the experience as “nothing short of incredible. It is something that absolutely changed the trajectory of my career and my life.”
Lauren is a former leader of our employee-led Business Resource Group, Black Employee Network, dedicated to the cultivation and empowerment of Black leaders at Point B and beyond. She also currently serves as Point B’s Portland Leader, where she combines her passion for creating a healthy, sustainable work culture for all with her leadership skills, voice of advocacy and support, and a knack for infusing fun wherever possible.
“Candidly, I’m grappling with a little bit of disbelief and a healthy serving of humility as I look at the other honorees and prior award winners,” said Lauren upon receiving the honor. “I am grateful to be recognized and know that my successes owe credit to the guidance and innovation of my teammates, mentors, ‘work families,’ and the many times I didn’t get it right.”
