The Watkins Basic Needs Shetler serves people in the city of Phoenix. This unique, year-round program is designed specifically to serve up to 120 homeless single women, as well as 20 families every night. As a result of this critical program, the most vulnerable are able to receive a warm, safe place to sleep and a healthy meal.
To help lend support to those who unexpectedly found themselves in the shelter, Point B Phoenix gathered together gifts, food, and other supplies and spent the day with the children in the shelter. To celebrate the birthdays that were happening that month, the event became a birthday bash, complete with games and arts and crafts. Point B consultants also enjoyed reading to many of the children in the shelter throughout the day.
