This quarter we honor Megan Work with the Blue Standard award for modeling the very best of Point B in everything she does—for our clients, our culture and her fellow associates.
“From a cultural perspective, Megan is the North Star for Point B in how we think about our clients and our associates,” said a member of the Blue Standard Evaluation Team. “She is passionate about our values and always goes above and beyond. She’s a mentor, culture leader, expert and builder of raving fans across every account she’s worked.”
Megan was instrumental in establishing Point B’s Organizational Effectiveness (OE) practice in 2013. Her efforts have added visibility and value to the OE team’s offerings in change management, talent strategy, organizational assessment and development, and leadership development.
Once organizations begin working with Megan, they want to keep her. Customer-focused clients engage her in top OE strategic initiatives. Last spring, one of them engaged her to design a technology talent framework to attract and keep the best tech people in the industry. She is now engaged in productivity and continuous improvement projects with that client. She also spent five years with a health care system client driving a performance management implementation.
For Megan, “It all comes back to doing what’s right for the client. What do they need? What’s in it for them? I try to put myself in their shoes: What pressures are they under? It’s about building a relationship and letting the client know I care and come from a place of wanting to help.”
As one of her clients put it, Megan maintains “joy through the hurricane,” with a gift for building morale and momentum even when the going gets turbulent.
