Bend, OR -
Point B, an integrated management consulting, digital studio, venture investment and real estate firm, has completed development work on St. Charles Health System’s new patient tower in Bend, Ore. The tower, which opened on May 19, includes a 24-bed Intensive Care Unit and a 28-bed Progressive Care Unit, plus more than 20,000 square feet of usable space for future development. Point B served as the owner representative for St. Charles Health System’s three-story, $66 million project, keeping the two-year development process on schedule and on budget while navigating the operational and organizational complexity that comes with increasing capacity and patient flow in a care center.
“Point B was a critical factor in the success of the new unit,” said Iman Nazeeri-Simmons, St. Charles’ chief operating officer. “They took into account the needs of our community, our building design and our patients and caregivers, and kept the project moving forward successfully – removing obstacles and making sure absolutely everything was completed to the highest standard. Their help in making this happen will affect the future of health care in Central Oregon for years to come.”
The expansion increases overall bed capacity by 33, and replaces the aging ICU with an upgraded unit located inside a new, three-story structure on the Bend hospital campus. The tower promises to solve a host of problems for ICU providers, and ease tensions that have a ripple effect on the entire hospital system.
Point B is both a developer and a real estate solutions and services provider. Whether developing for our own account or on behalf of others, our goal is to make a positive long-term impact on the communities in which we work while creating exceptional value and returns for our stakeholders.
