For over three decades Mark has honed an expertise in orchestrating the full life cycle creation of large mixed-use real estate projects throughout the southern, mid-western and western United States. Starting with primary housing communities in Texas, Mark evolved to create a number of high-end private golf communities and first class destination ski communities in Colorado, California, Utah and Montana. Mark directed development of several communities with capital development budgets exceeding $100 million, which now produces sales revenues into the several hundred million range. Notable projects include Bachelor Gulch Ski Village at Beaver Creek, Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Spa (Bachelor Gulch), Empire Pass Ski Community at Deer Valley, Montage Deer Valley Resort. Mark has developed golf course communities and private clubs with Tom Fazio, Greg Norman, Mark O’Meara, Jack Nicklaus and Arthur Hills.

Mark currently focuses on the start-up and turn-around stages of complex projects which most challenge the creativity, visioning, problem solving, organization, communication and innovation “muscles” of professional developers.  Mark very much welcomes talk of his Kansas Jayhawks during basketball season but will likely not respond when asked about their football fortunes.
