Erin Cheng Named 2024 Leader in Technology by Consulting Magazine
< AwardsTechnology has the power to tackle organizational challenges both big and small. To wield its power and make its implementation successful, you need a consultant like Erin Cheng, who has been named a 2024 Leader in Technology by Consulting Magazine.
Erin joined Point B in 2017 and has been climbing the ladder ever since, delivering high-quality, innovative work to customers through a data and analytics-focused lens. She has overseen teams that have created current-state workflows, future-state designs, and implementation roadmaps at large organizations.
She’s led various teams including data scientists, database architects, and data engineers when deploying strategic data products. And most recently, she’s been working at the forefront of some of the latest technology on the market by driving the digital workplace strategy for new generative AI tools at a global pharmaceutical company.
Aside from her incredible work in the technology space, Erin has embraced diversity, equity, and inclusion, opening doors for others along the way. Early on in her time at Point B, she gathered a group of women in Southern California to talk about the unique challenges of being female consultants. The conversations were so meaningful, she ultimately co-founded Women of Point B, an employee resource group dedicated to women’s experiences and empowerment across the company.
In addition, Erin made it her mission to get more women and people of color on to the technology-focused teams at Point B. She's recruited three women of color to the firm over the years, as well as one man of color, Chris Lau, who was named a 2021 Rising Star of the Profession by Consulting Magazine.
Erin is a tireless advocate and leader of others and truly embodies her new recognition from Consulting Magazine as a Diversity Champion.
