Inaugural Community Partner Award
< AwardsPoint B, a consulting company that brings empathy and expertise to the humans at the center of change, has served breakfast every month for over 20 years to homeless youth at Seattle’s New Horizons Ministries – in addition to financial support and pro bono services.
Founded in 1978, New Horizons created the Community Partner Award to celebrate its 42 years of service to Seattle’s youth. The award acknowledges the community partner who has “demonstrated extraordinary dedication and steadfast compassion to youth and young adults experiencing homelessness in King County.” Point B is humbled to be the inaugural recipient of this annual award.
Presentation of the award was to take place at New Horizons’ 42nd Anniversary Benefit in April. Although the event was postponed due to Covid-19, New Horizons remains open as an essential infrastructure organization. Spread of the virus makes homeless teens particularly vulnerable, with few places to turn if they need support. New Horizons is still that place – as it has been for over four decades – partnering with homeless youth in Seattle on their journey toward housing and sustainability.
