Meet Jennifer Tran, a Southern California-based project manager who starts her mornings with a matcha (or coffee). Jennifer thrives on tackling complex initiatives across industries and helping teams go beyond the boundaries of their roles. With 4 years at Point B, she’s not only grown her consulting skills, but also embraced leadership opportunities as a 1:1 manager and SoCal Culture Director. Whether she’s driving transformation on a cloud migration project or experimenting with sourdough starters in her free time, Jennifer brings curiosity, connection, and a people-first mindset to everything she does. What makes you proud to work at Point B?
The people. From the very first interview I had almost 4 years ago to the way my colleagues have showed up to support me, it’s the people that I get to work with every day that make me proud to be a Point Ber.
Describe the work you do and your areas of expertise. What do you love most about your work?
I have been a project manager in the Aerospace, Pharmaceutical Retail, and FinTech industries. As a consultant, I have the opportunity to broaden my exposure across industries, as well as the type of projects I work on. I am constantly learning and widening my skillsets.
Jennifer’s final day with the Enterprise Quality Management team at a financial services companyLet’s dive into a memorable project.
One of the most memorable projects I’ve worked on was a multi-year cloud transformation initiative with a large financial services company I came in as a project manager within the Enterprise Quality Management (EQM) team, specifically supporting the testing pillar. What started as a 2-year plan quickly expanded to 5-plus years due to underestimated complexity and misaligned teams.
Our client’s biggest challenge was siloed execution. Different teams were working toward the same goal, but weren’t always aligned in approach, timing, or expectations.
That’s where Point B stepped in to help reshape the dynamic. We mobilized and helped build an Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) that brought structure, clarity, and cohesion. We stood up a core team that represented each of the key pillars: Testing, validation, data, training, and more. We also helped ensure we reached across those pillars to bridge the gaps. We created a culture of “One Team,” where everyone shared accountability, and collaboration became second nature.
One of the things I’m most proud of is how we became the connective tissue across the organization. We were the voice of reason, advocates for people, and ultimately, the ones who could connect the dots when others couldn’t see the full picture. By helping the client go beyond the boundaries of siloed thinking and reactive problem-solving, we enabled a more proactive and strategic approach to transformation.
The outcomes have been incredible. Not only did we help accelerate their journey to the cloud, but we also left behind a stronger, more aligned team that’s now equipped to take on the next phase of innovation. It’s been rewarding to be part of something so complex and high impact, as well as to help drive change that will continue to deliver value long after our engagement.

Describe Point B’s culture in 1 word. Why that word?
Empowering. My journey at Point B has been a very fulfilling experience. In these 4 years, I have grown my career and have had, the ability to explore different types of companies and industries. As someone who values a strong sense of community in the workplace, I have had the pleasure of serving as our SoCal region’s Culture Director and supporting several associates as their 1:1 Manager. I love that I have the ability to raise my hand and participate in initiatives that are meaningful to me, elevating my leadership capabilities.
Point B has been instrumental in helping me grow both personally and professionally. Through initiatives like running Financial Services roundtables and contributing to recruitment efforts as a culture director, I’ve developed strong leadership and organizational skills. Managing others has been a key part of my growth, allowing me to expand on a skillset that otherwise may not be exercised as much in smaller team settings. What sets Point B apart is the support system in place—encouraging me to raise my hand, pursue my goals, and turn them into reality.
What are your favorite podcasts currently?
I have been a long-term fan of Guy Raz’s How I Built This podcast. It’s interesting to hear the backstories about well-known companies and the journeys that the entrepreneurs behind them took to get there.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Teleportation. Though I'd miss earning those travel points, it’d be nice to skip the 5-hour flights and magically appear at my destination.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I’m a serial hobbyist on a quest to find one that sticks. My current venture has been experimenting with sourdough! It’s been fun working with different types of flours to feed the starters. I enjoy seeing how those variations influence the final baked products. So far, my favorites have been dark rye, all-purpose flour-based starter for naturally leavened sourdough bread, as well as bread, all-purpose based starter for a sweet potato loaf.
