Point B has served as an expert resource and real estate advisor in real estate strategy, acquisition, disposition, leasing, design, construction and asset and property management.
Healthcare Provider: Point B assisted a nationally recognized children’s hospital improve the effectiveness of their sustaining construction project process. Former processes were significantly streamlined from intake through completion and then documented. A new project tracking tool was implemented providing full visibility of project status. Point B assisted with recruiting new skilled project managers to support effective project execution. As a result, project backlog was eliminated and customer satisfaction has improved. Point B also developed a new organizational model for the entire Facilities Planning Design and Construction function focused on supporting a major capital improvement program over the next 5 years. The new model aligns functions to provide turn-key responsibility for project implementation and adds management, technical and contracts resources to ensure projects will be run efficiently with the hospital’s best interests always being served.
Clean Energy Company: Point B recently completed an analysis and optimization of global facilities management operations for a multinational clean energy company. The company was struggling to manage multiple global outposts from a single headquarters with an internal team, and had no control of costs. Point P helped the client measure and benchmark their historical costs and human capital utilization, establish KPI’s and performance standards, then recommended and executed a program to outsource facilities management to a global leader in the space. This effort identified significant savings and improvements in the quality of the service.
Healthcare System: Point B prepared a regional Parking Demand Management study for a major healthcare system involving over 90 locations to address a system wide lack of sufficient parking to meet patient and employee parking needs. A demographic study was completed to identify employee commute patterns and regional mass transit and alternative commute options were researched. A Parking Demand Management Toolkit was developed that detailed a new Regional Parking Policy and provided sites with a full range of parking demand mitigation measures to improve parking availability across the region.
Healthcare Provider: Point B is supporting a Seattle based Healthcare provider in their efforts to source a new preferred vendor to deliver the full range of construction management services. Point B provided recommendations relative to contract documents for CM services, provided a methodology to score supplier proposals and will be involved in final suppler interviews and recommendation for selection.
