Kym is a strategic leader whose global impact has been felt in areas including global risk management, regulatory requirements, investment strategy and policy, corporate governance and capital/debt restructuring.
Kym currently serves on the board of State Auto Financial Corporation as the Chair of the Investment Committee and serves on the Audit, Compensation and Independent Committees. She also serves on the boards of PIMCO Funds and the PIMCO Equity Funds, where she chairs the Valuation Oversight Committee and is a member of the Audit, Governance and Investment Committees.
She is the former Chief Investment Officer and Treasurer of Ernst & Young (EY) and Global Head of Investments for EY Global (EYG), where she managed more than $15B in active defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plan assets for over 67,000 employees. During her time as a key executive in the EY global network, Kym guided affiliates in the U.S., UK, Canada and Latin America, and teamed up with key global partners and management leaders in several of EY’s global network affiliates within 150 countries.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bradley University and is a NACD Board Leadership Fellow. She currently sits on the nonprofit Board of the Field Foundation and is a member of the Governing Council of the Independent Directors Council (IDC). She was recently named a 2021 Most Influential Black Corporate Directors by SAVOY Magazine.
