What makes you proud to work at Point B?
I’ve never met a group of people more committed to their work because of the deep passion they have for making an impact. It’s humbling, and it makes me proud to know that my teammates and peers are here because they want to make a difference in their communities and more broadly within healthcare. Additionally, the sincere interest people at Point B have in getting to know each other as individuals, not just colleagues or customers, is rewarding. We truly live out our Point B values.
Describe the work you do and your areas of expertise. What do you love most about your work?
I work closely with healthcare executives to address operational and business challenges across various sectors, including healthcare services, healthcare providers, and payer organizations. Most of my time is focused on serving payer organizations as part of our Healthcare Payer team, focusing on driving measurable performance improvement through operational efficiency and growth levers. As a Customer Director, my goal is to bring relevant perspectives, solutions, and services through multi-disciplinary expertise to the organizations I serve.
My personal expertise is in operationalizing strategies and helping organizations sustain results. Within the healthcare space, I am most experienced in operations and payer government programs.
I am also a team leader and passionate about coaching and mentoring individuals as they hone their own leadership styles and capabilities.
My work energizes me because I am making a meaningful contribution to advancing healthcare, serving the communities in which I interact, and building the next generation of leaders.

Let’s dive into a memorable project.
Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to help a payer customer respond to an audit. This task would have been highly labor-intensive, requiring nearly 100 people to complete. The timeline was tight, with only about 3 months to respond to the audit.
Instead of providing individual resources, Point B built a series of technology applications, databases, and tools to prepare the audit response by parsing through data, building accelerators for the work that had to remain somewhat manual, and creating automated ways of fulfilling all compliance requirements. What was rewarding about this work is that we saved about $2M for the customer through our solution, compared to what it might cost if the work was done all manually. How is Point B helping you grow your career?
I have had a few chapters in my Point B story, some more focused on growing expertise within a particular industry or capability area, and others more focused on universal disciplines, such as leadership, relationship management, and business management. Point B has allowed me to explore different roles, as well as lean into leadership responsibilities for ad hoc projects that have rounded out my technical and functional skills.
In addition, Point B has provided training and coaching programs that have significantly impacted my success in various roles throughout my career, as well as resource groups and cohorts, such as the Women to Watch cohort (pictured here), that have created community-based learning and knowledge sharing to navigate my career.
Describe Point B’s culture in 1 word. Why that word?
I can’t pick just one word, but I have a few: Supportive, empowering, and dedicated.
These are all words I’ve used over the last nearly decade to describe our culture. As an employee owner, I’ve always felt a responsibility to support, participate, and engage to do my best for my colleagues, customers, and myself. I truly believe that as a firm, we all engage in this way, and that mutual respect and our unique skill sets are key ingredients to our success. And, we have fun together!
One of our values is “Lead with Integrity and Authenticity.” Why is it important to you to exemplify integrity and authenticity through the work you do at Point B?
I’ve been working with one customer for over 7 years now, and that long-standing relationship is a testament to the quality of work and strength of partnership, which is characterized by integrity and authenticity.
Customers look to their consulting partners as their advisor, and sometimes their co-pilot, or maybe even the pilot. I believe that to truly fulfill this role and be effective in driving results, we must start with integrity to build trust and authenticity to sustain effective working relationships. To me, this means that we share the tough messages without faltering, and that we walk side-by-side with our customers in solving their problems or challenges as they arise. It means going beyond the single project and taking genuine interest in the success of our customers and satisfaction of their customers. It’s more than working together on a single engagement, but rather, building lasting relationships on trust and transparency.
What are some favorite books you’ve read recently?
Although this is not a book I’ve read recently, I am a fan of the Harry Potter series and can’t wait until my kids are old enough to read it together! The Harry Potter series is also a favorite with many of my Point B colleagues, which makes for fun ice breakers.
I am currently reading The Anxious Generation. I also spend a lot of time reading Harvard Business Review, as well as healthcare publications like Modern Healthcare, Hospitalogy, and Becker’s. I am also deeply interested in exploring and contributing to the femtech and women’s health space, which drives me to actively seek content on these topics.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I am an aspiring gardener (with a not so green thumb). I enjoy yoga and have a goal to one day master crow pose. I am a passionate advocate for issues related to pre-term birth, and over the last several years it has been rewarding to organize service events with the Jackson Chance Foundation and the Point B team in Chicago.
